Pawan Kalyan is an Indian film actor in Telugu cinema and an accomplished Karate black belt holder.[1] He was (born Konidela Kalyan Babu. However, a screen name Pawan was added to his name owing to his Karate black belt[2][3][4] He has worked in several critically and commercially successful films and has established himself as one of the leading actors in Telugu cinema.

Pawan Kalyan was born in Chirala, to Sri Venkat Rao and Smt Anjana Devi. He is the youngest brother of actor Chiranjeevi and actor-producer Nagendra Babu. Pawan Kalyan married Nandini in 1999. Eight years later he married Renu Desai, an actress who co-starred with him in the movies Badri and Johnny. His ex-wife Nandini has claimed that he married Renu Desai without first divorcing her.[5] Renu Desai and Pawan Kalyan have two children: a son named Akira Nandan born in 2004, and a baby girl named Aadhya born in 2010.
